The full model is not displayed here. What we do not see is a fixed column flange bolted to the T-stub at the top of the screen. Additionally there is a large beam bolted through the holes we see in the T-stub. Displacement controlled tension is applied to the beam causing the stress we see develop.
The first element to be deleted are those connecting the top two bolt holes. Shortly after this some elements contain excessive distortions and the analysis closes. However, before the excessive distortion we clearly see the highest stress along the bolt lines and even have some element deletion at the other holes.
