    In this video I have resorted to using Acetylene & Oxygen after breaking to breaker bars and 1 socket. You only want to use this method as a last resort because more damage can occur to yourself, bearings or if you heat the axle nut wrong it many never come off. If you keep your heat moving slow and steady heating the axle nut, in about 1 minute it will be ready for removal. Alwasys use extreme caution when using this method and remember only do this if all other methods have failed.

    Tools used:
    36mm 6pt socket
    3/4″ to 1/2″ adapter
    1/2″ drive x 5″ extension
    3/4″ drive x 36″ breaker bar
    1/2″ drive torque wrench
    flat head screwdriver
    robertson head screwdriver
    grease

    Steps:
    1. Unstake the nut.
    2. Loosen and remove the nut with the breaker bar.
    3. Smear a thin layer of grease onto the face of the nut.
    4. Thread the nut back onto the axle and torque it to 180 ft-lbs.
    5. Tighten the nut 60° past the point you’ve just torqued the nut to, using the breaker bar.
    6. Replace the centre cap back on and your’re done.
